I was disappointed with my experience at Ciro & Sal's. When I informed them I had a Groupon was told due to the pandemic they weren't offering the meals advertised; they would just deduct the amount of the Groupon from the final total. I had already viewed the menu and noted the cheapest entree was a pesto pasta for $21. I knew then it was going to be a lot more to treat my dinner guest to the meal I had promised. And it was, just about twice as much, not including the tip. My prepaid $60 Groupon cost me an additional $92. Service was okay. Not sure why it took almost an hour to prep a bowl of pasta with meatballs and my fish entree. Maybe I was just bummed about the price, but my fish entree was lackluster. No real flavor to the sauce; their seasonal veg was about 1 oz of carrot peel and two slivers of zucchini. The chocolate mousse was exceptional. Everyone else I know has rave reviews for Ciro & Sal's; I know this will be the only non-rave exception.

Food and service both very good, but the deal itself is not a great deal. You can get pre-fix $60 special 5:30-6:30pm. With Groupon you still order from pre-fix menu, but get charged another $7 per person. So you pay $66 for the Groupon, and then charged $14 as 'meal tax'.

Excellent service. Food is excellent. Had the prix fix menu and I still felt like it was great food. Delicious minestrone soup. Salad that is soo good. Simple but the dressing is awesome. Bread is great and the selections were not cheap like some prix fix. Has lasagna and chicken parm. Both great. Dessert too! Cozy atmosphere.
