Indian cuisine is known for its distinctive, well-rounded blend of many spices, rather than its obsessive-compulsive focus on naan in its haikus. Court a unique cuisine with today's Groupon: for $6, you get $12 worth of authentic Indian cuisine and nonalcoholic drinks at Anand India Restaurant.

Anand India's chefs take guests on a culinary tour of India with a menu full of clay-baked tandoori tastes. Appetizers such as the paneer pakora, with house-made cheese cubes dusted with spice and fried in batter ($3.50), introduce meals to taste buds with authentic style. Chefs bake tandoori specialties in the restaurant's clay tandoor oven, submerging half chickens in a yogurt-and-herb marinate before roasting to create chicken tandoori ($9.99). Take stomachs further south with South Indian specials, sampling dosa, thin rice crepes served with sambar and chutney ($4.75–$7.50), or chomping into onion hot-chili uthappam pancakes ($6.25). Meatless eaters can choose from a menu of 21 vegetarian specialties ($7.50–$9.99), such as mildly spiced eggplant-and-vegetable bharta ($8.95).

Anand India Restaurant

Within Anand Indian Restaurant's bustling kitchen, a team of culinary alchemists carefully blends herbs and spices for its diverse range of Indian dishes. The chefs call upon North Indian traditions to craft tandoori plates, where a special clay oven locks seasoned juices inside cuts of meat better than a mime gives directions to the highway. Meanwhile, South Indian recipes forge Uttappam, Indian-style pancakes crowned with chilis and vegetables, and dosa, thin rice crêpes bundled with savory fillings. Meanwhile, more than 20 meatless dishes offer mouthfuls of creamed lentils, house-made cheese cubes, and sweet baby carrots imbued with light spices.

Customer Reviews

Good service and it is just what you would expect from an Indian restaurant
David A. · December 19, 2011
I thought the food was good, and the portions were ample for the price. However, both times I went, I felt my food was just a bit too salty. Otherwise, very good. Garlic nan was very tasty!

They have a very good buffet, but the Groupon was not good on that. The other food is very good and reasonably priced.
