Neat little location (Greenwich) with good beer. Bartender was very friendly and supportive when Groupon app would not open. She let us use it, and told us to swipe it as redeemed when I could get it to open. Not very big inside, and we did not get a tour of the facility due to a street festival occurring that afternoon, and she was the only person working on site. They did have a tent at the festival, so we completely understood. Taproom in Cambridge was "closed" for the day due to being booked out for a private event, but everyone we spoke with said that it was beautiful there at a restored train station.

About Argyle Brewing Company

Despite the name, Argyle Brewing isn’t headquartered in the town Argyle. Owners Chris, Matt, and Rich actually brew their lineup of mainstay and seasonal beers in the neighboring village of Greenwich. But why all the location-based hoops? Firstly, the town of Argyle is a dry town, meaning it forbids the sale of alcohol. Secondly (and perhaps most importantly), the owners simply wanted to pay homage to the area's historical roots—prior to 1803, Greenwich wasn't a distinct entity, but just another part of Argyle. As they put it, “[they] are just trying to reclaim Greenwich one pint at a time.”

And with a roster that brims with IPAs, oatmeal stouts, and seasonal vanilla bourbon porters bearing the name of Argyle, it’s safe to say they’re doing a pretty good job at it. Honoring their love of the town of Argyle while surreptitiously undermining its teetotaling legislature, the trio of suds lovers bottle their brews for area shops, showcase their rotating selection at their onsite taproom, and regularly participate in events throughout the community.
