Bite San Diego’s founder started her walking-tour company to show tourists and locals alike that San Diego has more to offer than just fish tacos and cheap sushi. Her tours have been so successful at introducing people to often-hidden foodie destinations that they've been lauded by the press and even featured on Good Morning America.

Bite's newest tour steers groups toward the scents and sights of Liberty Station, a former military base that now features dozens of restaurants, green spaces, and art studios. Tour-goers head to various joints inside the recently opened Liberty Public Market and around Liberty Station. There, they enjoy burgers, cold-pressed juices, artisan cheeses, and Southern Italian pasta dishes. At each of the five or more stops, guides weave stories that paint a vivid picture of the neighborhood's past.
