The majority of monolingual Americans are often bitterly disappointed when they find that René Magritte's Ceci n'est pas une cheeseburger is not a cheeseburger. Equip your hands with very real edibles with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of gourmet burgers and more at Blu Burger Grille. Choose from the following four locations:
- Scottsdale—The Summit
- Scottsdale—Hayden Crossing
- Chandler—Fulton Ranch
- Peoria—Park West
The extensive menu includes sandwiches and salads as well as a cornucopia of burger options; some made with Certified Angus ground beef. The build-a-burger option lets amateur artists create an edible masterpiece of bun, patty (choose from Black Angus beef, turkey, bison, Whole Foods' salmon, and more), toppings, specialty ingredients, and sauces. Blu Burger Grille concocts no-trans-fat sweet-potato fries and specialty martinis without using human hands.
Blu Burger Grille is nominated for best burger in Arizona Foothills' 2011 Best of Our Valley. Chowhound reviewed Blu Burger Grille's Hayden Crossing location in 2008. Scottsdale Home & Lifestyle reviewed the Summit location in 2009. Yelpers give the Park West location a four-star average and give the Fulton Ranch location 3.5 stars.
Blu Burger Grille
Successfully polishing off one of Blu Burger's signature creations isn't always an easy feat. These meaty towers and onion buns teeter under the weight of generous portions of applewood-smoked bacon, caramelized onions, and melted cheeses dripping with housemade sauces. Though some diners try to tackle the five signature selections, others extend their culinary creativity to design their own burgers, choosing from an eclectic variety of bases—including Black Angus or Kobe beef, bison, and portobello mushrooms. Customers further customize patties with their choices of buns, cheeses, specialty toppings, and more than 10 types of sauces, which join the selection of 12 craft beers on tap.
In the bustling dining room, tinted windows cast a blue hue on funky artwork and colorful hanging lights. Outside, blue umbrellas speckle the courtyard, protecting diners from both the elements and the notice of paragliding Hamburglars.
