Nestled along the Mojave River, Boulder Creek Ranch transforms its verdant grounds into an autumnal wonderland with its annual family-friendly Harvest Festival. Scoop-up one or two orange orbs from the bountiful pumpkin patch, whisking them home to carve into cartoonish door guardians or realistic Cinderella-mobiles. A pack of 20 ride tickets grants young fall-loving frolickers access to a host of kid-friendly rides and activities, most of which cost two tickets each, including a bounce house and a petting zoo. The adult package sits fall fans atop cushions of scarecrow stuffing for a rip-roaring hayride around the festival. Once feet are back on terra firma, merrymakers can skip through the beer gardens, imbibing in sudsy libations to soothe throats parched from conversing with nearby billy goats in their native tongue. Weekend revelers can stroll past an assortment of food and craft vendors, and melody-starved cochleae nosh on a sonic buffet whipped up by dueling tunesmiths during the Sunday night Battle of the Bands.
Alternatively, miniature festival attendees can bedizen their wrists with a bracelet that entitles them to a day of unlimited rides and activities, granting ample time to partake in interspecies staring contests at the petting zoo. Wee thrill-seekers can chortle in gravity’s thwarted face inside a bounce house, and nonstop access to the playground gives kids a prime location for organizing a model UN staffed entirely by jack-o'-lanterns.

About Boulder Creek Harvest Festival
Each year, Boulder Creek Ranch transforms itself into a venue for the autumnal revelry known as the Boulder Creek Harvest Festival. During the week, guests trundle about the farm on hayrides, cavort with baby goats in the petting zoo, or pick out their next jack-o'-lantern or replacement head in the pumpkin patch. At the playground and bounce house, kids can build up their cardiovascular endurance with fast-paced trick-or-treating on October 26 and 27.
Over the weekends, the festival kicks the fun up a notch with live music, a beer garden, and carnival games. Food vendors peddle provender to give visitors extra energy. Throughout its two-week run, the Harvest Festival hosts several special events, including a chili cook-off, a battle of the bands, a costume contest, and a Huckleberry Finn-inspired fish-off, where piscatorial hunters haul in their quarry with bamboo poles.
