What You'll Get
Napoleon always dined in restaurants with sweeping views so he'd be able to spot an English army sneaking up to steal his sauce recipes. Don't be caught by surprise with today's Groupon: for $30, you get $60 worth of contemporary French-American cuisine at Cité Elegant Dining.
Guests at Cité Elegant Dining bask in a 360-degree view of Lake Michigan, Navy Pier, and Chicago from the 70th floor of Lake Point Tower. Starters from chef Frank Mnuk's menu of contemporary French-American cuisine take center stage on the eatery's white linen tablecloths: puff pastry envelops braised Bourgogne snails and garlic butter to become escargot Francois ($14), and celery root foam joins golden raisin jus to collage a plate of scallops and sweet blue prawns ($18). For the main course, foie gras ($18) can be chosen to accompany a lean, tender cut of filet mignon ($40), and fennel salad can chaperone duck a l'orange ($36) to the table. Freshly squeezed lime juice refreshes a Cofresi made with basil-infused vodka and spiced rum ($14), one of the signature cocktails that rain into glasses from the high-altitude restaurant's menagerie of tame clouds.

But that shouldn't distract from what's on the tables. Executive chef, Oscar Ornelas creates dishes worthy of the adventurous view. The menu includes the Cured Alaskan Wild King Salmon, Berkshire Pork Chop, Tomahawk 32 oz. Steak, Award wining Lobster Mac n' Cheese and for dessert, the Flaming Banana Foster made table-side. The wine menu ,which spans the New and Old World, and the customized cocktails provides another reason for guests to linger in the eatery's bar area, aptly named the Sky Lounge.
Cité also often hosts special events, like Valentine's Day and Chicago Restaurant Week Prex-Fixe Menu, enabling diners to celebrate and mingle with their loved ones and fellow foodies in high style. The eatery is also open for corporate and family events with a private space. Click here for more details.
