Named after the spot where owner and seasoned snapper Joe Heimbach first found his love for photography, City Dock Photography captures clients within professionally composed keepsakes. During the personalized session held within a fully equipped studio or at a location of the client’s choosing, Heimbach tests out a vast array of poses, backgrounds, and pronunciations of the word cheese until clients are satisfied with the look of the shoot. After the 30-minute shoot, clients pick their favorite shots to immortalize in 11 prints that range from a desk-ready 8”x10” size to the wallet-friendly size. Heimbach also digitally touches up one image, removing red eye, lens flare, and odd rabbit-ear growths protruding from the back of the head before turning over a digital copy to clients.
City Dock Photography
City Dock Photography takes its name from Annapolis' City Dock. It was this location—with its placid waters and distinct architecture—that first drew Joe Heimbach into the world of photography. Mr. Heimbach honed his artistic skills over the years, and he eventually settled into areas of expertise: fine art, commercial, and portrait photography. He often captures images of nature, such as horses walking along the beach or a shower of light beams bursting through a forest canopy from a UFO hovering above. Similar outdoor settings form the backdrops when Heimbach photographs people. Of course, the expert photographer also ventures indoors for in-studio shoots or when he's frequently called upon to photograph food for local restaurants.
