What You'll Get
Growling stomachs can hamper stealth operations, spoil belly dances, and, in extreme cases, induce dogs to attack. Quiet whimpering tummy tones with today's Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of Mediterranean fare and hookah at Falafel Moroccan Restaurant.
At Falafel Moroccan Restaurant, loungers and diners can nosh on traditional Mediterranean cuisine, sip drinks, and puff on hookahs in an exotic and dimly lit dining space. Peruse the menu, and pump up palates with Eastern classics such as zaalook—fresh roasted eggplant infused with Moroccan spices, tomatoes, garlic, cilantro, olive oil and lemon juice ($6)—or lemon chicken tagine mingling with pickled lemons, ginger and saffron sauce ($15). The lounge is home to handheld eats such as the merguez—a handmade north african lamb-and-beef sausage, served on a baguette ($8.49)—and the traditional falafel sandwich, heightened by potent garlic tahini ($6.99).
Socialites and laid-back visitors can take turns puffing on traditional-flavored hookahs ($14.99 for one to six people), watching their billowing rings float up amid hanging lamps and a draped-fabric ceiling. With hookah in hand or in mind, guests can also pair their inhaled flavors with a variety of imbibed beverages ($6.25–$8), which, likewise, pair seamlessly with the space's regular performances featuring live bands and belly dancers.
The Orlando Sentinel positively reviewed Falafel Moroccan Restaurant. Twelve Yelpers give the business a 3.5-star average, TripAdvisors give it an average of three stars and 74% of Urbanspooners like it.
