Ever since the jetpack was first introduced to the public in 1920s science fiction, people have wanted to fly like a superhero. FlyBoard Niagara's jetpack-esque flyboards allow patrons to do just that, albeit only over water. In addition to soaring up to 40 feet above the azure waters of Niagara Falls, Ontario, flyboarders can propel themselves down into the waves and back up again, moving as effortlessly as a dolphin trained in classical ballet.
FlyBoard Niagara's instructors say that operating a flyboard is very intuitive and compare it to riding a bike or waterskiing—really any activity that requires some balance. They can teach people how to operate the Zapata Flyboards in as little as five minutes. They also offer a video package so clients can relive their flights whenever they want or show the fifth-grade neighborhood tough kids how cool adults can be.
