Always a great time, but I need to remember that it always takes 30-45 minutes to pay and get equipment. I wish they were able to get more staff so that the entry process would require less waiting.

This place was a deathtrap. Brought my 5 year old, thinking it would be a good place with a small hill to get her started. Nope. The hills only had rope lifts, which are *not* the easiest for kids to get started on, so I ended up basically carrying my kid up with one hand while holding the rope with the other. The first third of the hill I was constantly having to fend off the kids that were trying to skip the line and grab the rope from the slope. I have no idea how or why, but the last third of the lift ended up being a congregation point for tweens to just let go of the rope and stop without clearing away...which ended up in a huge pileup that left my kid with a gash on her face from someone's ski. As I carried her (screaming with a bloody face) to the car and to return our skis/boots, never got so much as an "is she OK?" from any employees. Fortunately she did end up being OK, but I'll not be back here ever again. I'll spend the time driving up to Wilmot and happily pay full price for a properly (safely) managed facility. This could have been avoided with either more people policing the rope lift, or a cutoff on the lift passes for the day once the currently available employee capacity was met. This place was simply unsafe.

Good spot for young beginners to learn how to ski. Be prepared to wait for lift tickets and rentals on weekends and right at opening. Unpleasantly surprised by the new policy that Groupon are valid for a lift ticket but not a rental at the same time. While I understand they need to make money too, it should have been more clearly stated on the Groupon to prevent buying unwanted passes/rentals.

About Four Lakes Alpine Snowsports

Seven rope tows hoist skiers and snowboarders to the top of the trails at Four Lakes Alpine Snowsports, helping them take a panoramic glance before the pristine powder and carving their way back to the bottom. Five zones make up the skiable expanse, increasing in difficulty from a pair of bunny hills to a terrain park, where a gauntlet of boxes and rails slake appetites for jumps, grinds, and extreme cold-weather picnicking. As a proud member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America, Four Lakes’ ski school helps aspiring skiers and snowboarders stay safe and in control while zipping and darting about the slopes.
