About Frisco Square
With snow flurries blasting from snow machines, 175,000 Christmas lights, and carols crooning from the speakers, Frisco Square gets more than 650,000 families in the holiday spirit every year. The Christmas in the Square celebration is when the square, a year-round hub for activity, really turns up the wattage, creating a twinkling winter wonderland in Texas.
Families take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the square, visit the petting zoo, and marvel at the light and music show every day from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. They can also head to the 66-foot outdoor rink. Here, they can strap on their own or rental ice skates and spend hours skating hand-in-hand with their partner or whoever made the mistake of holding their hand out to regain their balance.
