CineStar Outdoor Movie Company turns backyards and parks into open-air cinemas, supplying high-quality, widescreen movie screens for events ranging from weddings to block parties. The staff does more than just drop off a big screen at each customer's desired location: from the moment a customer calls, they get to work planning the event, setting up the screens—which can be prepped for live feeds playing local sports, UFC matches, or other Pay Per View events—and providing optional accompaniments such as popcorn, glow sticks, and even beanbags or couches. To ensure every event is a success, they help customers with licensing, promoting, and scheduling, and will even talk to neighbors to prep them for the event and gently explain why Movie Godzilla shouldn’t be feared, but Real Godzilla should be.
Since becoming the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers in 2003, the RoughRiders have continually replenished the Big Leagues with some of baseball's brightest stars. The team's alumni list speaks for itself, and it also explains why the 'Riders contend for the postseason on an annual basis. From day one, Dr Pepper Ballpark has been the site of the team's many successes. It has frequently been recognized as one of Minor League Baseball's best parks, especially for its quirky features. For instance, both teams' bullpens are nestled in amongst the stands, meaning fans sit close enough to hear a relief pitcher's acceptance speech when he gets called into the game.
Whether grounded or airborne, balloons dominate the festivities at Old Celina Park. On the ground, the vibrantly patterned balloons glow and undulate as propane burners pump them with hot air.
With this canopy of colored dots overhead, the festival’s entertainment comes alive as musical acts such as Jason Boland & the Stragglers along with Dale Watson performing on Saturday take the stage. The Steak Cook-off Association will host a sanctioned steak cook-off to qualify for the championship that will take place in Fort Worth. Inflatables promote adrenaline rushes along with human hamster balls, and a Home Depot Activity Zone.
Founded in 2002, the Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas provides support and financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters and police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The non-profit foundation covers 16 counties in North Texas, which comprises more than 23,000 police and firefighters. To raise funds throughout the year for such an expansive area, Guns & Hoses hosts numerous charitable events, including an annual boxing tournament, golf tournament, and football championship between competitors from the police and fire departments.
