Handling drinks on the go and during commutes can be tricky; that plastic mug lid can never be fully trusted to keep its contents from dribbling onto shirts or spilling on hands. That’s why the team at Contigo obsesses over making products that eliminate accidental spills. Their patented Autoseal technology—used in the top-selling travel-mug line in the US—seals automatically after each sip, keeping rogue droplets at bay. When it’s time to hit the gym, Contigo’s Autospout water bottles give athletes a simple, one-touch-button spout to keep them hydrated quickly between reps. Along with travel mugs and water bottles, Contigo offers tumblers, pitchers, and kid-friendly food jars, all of which have helped the brand receive praise from the Today show, Good Housekeeping, and Us Weekly.

Mugs leak! Bought these for me to drink coffee and my son to dink tea in the car on the go. When I drink coffee, they are fine. But when my 5-year-old drinks his tea, they leak all over him and he's soaked. Granted they are not designed with a 5-year-old in mind, but a spill-proof lock should be a spill-proof lock, period.
This is one of the best no spill cups I've ever owned. If there is a drawback, it's that not much coffee comes out from the relatively small hole. I really like the construction and it is a quality product.
