What You’ll Do
Although all candles are functionally similar, they can take many forms. During this two-hour class, Annie Jenkins teaches students the basics of a few such incarnations by delving into different waxes, molds, scents, and wicks, providing general safety tips along the way.
Make Three Candles
Craft your own gel candle, pillar candle, and fragrant soy container candle.
Take Home Your Creations
After the class, take home the gel and soy candle, then return at a later date to pick up your pillar candle.
With more than three decades of experience as a television makeup artist, Annie Jenkins has seen a lot of skin up close. What she learned from all those complexions is that not all skincare products are created equally, and that natural options are far better for the skin. Soon she began making her own soaps with her daughter and the kids in her neighborhood, fell in love with the process (and the benefits), and opened a store where anyone could come to learn the art of making soaps, perfume, and candles.
