Definitely one of the best places in the world to see live comedy. I go every week and it's always an absolute blast. DEFINITELY spring for the dinner before the show to get preferred seating. The food is awesome (try the brisket Ruben!), not expensive ($30 for 2 people) and GREAT service. Drinks inside are great, a little pricey ($25 for 2 drinks) and waitstaff in show room is hit or miss. A++++

We had such a great time. Even though the main showroom was booked, the comedians in the lab were fantastic. Definitely will go again.

What You'll Get

Standup comedy and public speaking share many of the same tactics, which is why so many eulogies open with a joke and so many presidential inaugurations involve smashing a watermelon. See a master orator in action with this deal to see a comedy showcase at Hollywood Improv. For $25, you get a comedy-show package (up to a $129.75 total value), which includes:

  • Two tickets to a comedy show, not including special events (up to a $40 value). All seating is first come, first served. Comedy shows require a two-item minimum per person (not included in this deal).
  • One appetizer (up to a $9.75 value).
  • Four vouchers for tickets to future shows, not including special events (up to an $80 value).<p>

At the Hollywood Improv, comics lure laughs from deep within bellies as they follow in the footsteps of standup legends such as Ellen DeGeneres, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, and Dave Chappelle, all of whom have graced the Improv club stages. The club’s calendar schedules comedians as often as seven nights a week, alternating between big-name headliners and up-and-coming funsters who tickle funny bones with fresh material, abundant energy, and feathered reflex hammers.

Though special shows are excluded, voucher holders may attend sets from a diverse lineup of certified funnymen, including Richard Villa, who hosts Refried Fridays beginning at 10 p.m. Between introducing the evening’s comedians, Villa dips into the autobiographical, satirical humor that has landed him onstage with the likes of Mike Epps and has awarded him stints on projects like MTV’s animated series The Adventures of Chico and Guapo. Future-show vouchers can also be used for Improv staples such as Gays R Us, a rainbow collection of colorful comics on the first Wednesday of each month, or the bimonthly Fantasy Comedy show, where popular comedians riff on sports such as baseball, football, and ballball.

Audience members munch on their choice of a savory appetizer, such as spinach-and-artichoke dip or fried calamari, and sip a cocktail to avoid eye contact with the giant rubber chicken sitting at the next table (drinks not included with this deal).
