Singles meet up to eight potential matches while sipping champagne & sampling hors d’oeuvres at laid-back speed dating events
Being struck by love is like being struck by lightning: it’s sudden and electrifying and explains why Benjamin Franklin was voted World’s Sexiest Man 17 years running. Make your own sparks fly with today’s GrouponLive deal to RSVP Speed Dating Champagne & Glitter Event, presented by Santana Row Weekly at Clubhouse Restaurant and Sports Lounge. Choose from the following options:
- For $59, you get admission for one (a $125.48 value, including all fees).
- For $96, you get admission for two (a $250.96 value, including all fees).
This deal is valid for speed dating events held on Tuesdays from September 6 through December 6. Click here to review RSVP speed dating rules.
Cupid lets his arrows do the talking as singles meet up to eight eligible singles at one of Santana Row Weekly’s champagne-fueled speed dating events. After checking in, up to 120 eligible bachelors and bachelorettes grab a candle-lit table and commence their first 40 minutes of dating. During each six- to eight-minute session, speed daters introduce themselves and discuss lighthearted topics such as their mutual distrust of cats and recurring nightmares featuring Jimmy Carter. Once the first four dates have ended, a 50-minute break gives daters the chance to pick up conversations with their best matches while sampling complimentary hors d’oeuvres, including tapas, garlic artichoke dip, grilled Asian prawns, calamari and more, and sipping on bottomless glasses of champagne and mimosas. A second round of dates follows, during which participants dazzle counterparts with their knowledge of how to craft homemade super glue. Before heading home, all participants receive a stylized celebrity booth portrait and also have a chance to win exclusive prizes from the event’s sponsors.
To avoid awkward moments and hand fatigue, participants do not ask each other for contact information during the dating rounds but simply write the names and horoscope signs of those they are interested in on a selection card. Event coordinators notify participants by phone or email if they have matched second date selections—a likely occurrence, given that 87% of polled daters admit meeting someone they would like to see again.
