At Haute Mama Photography, shutter-savvy Leah Severson shoots from evocative angles under artistic lighting to capture women at their most confident and intimate. During the snappy, 30-minute portrait session, Leah turns her studio into a fun and relaxed setting for relaying sultry expressions, flattering poses, and powerful winks. Voguers can rotate through three outfit changes, alternating between lingerie, bridal veils, garter belts, and au naturel attitudes under the sheets. After the shoot, clients receive two 5”x7” prints, professionally retouched to clear up wrinkles and blemishes. Leah also emails the same two images in digital 8”x10” form, granting full printing rights to avoid the hassle of cramming your laptop into a perfumed envelope.

Think of boudoir photography outfits and you probably think of lingerie. And though there are plenty of black lace corsets and fishnet stockings on display in the Haute Mama Photography gallery, there are also less conventional choices: a loose men's dress shirt and tie, an off-the-shoulders motorcycle jacket, even a strategically placed basketball that serves as a sort of top. It's partly a reflection of the diversity of the photos' subjects, whose figures range from slender to voluptuous, and partly a testament to the creativity of studio owner Leah Severson, who has designed it so that even the studio's most basic package allows for multiple outfit changes.
