What You'll Get
Like developing superpowers, developing a photograph always starts in a lab under the cover of darkness and ends with a transformative dip in a chemical bath. Discover your extraordinary photographic abilities with today's Groupon: for $25, you get an Understanding the Basics of Photography Class (a $50 value) at Heather Swanner Photography Studio, located in Cary.
A seasoned wedding and child photographer with more than 17 years of memory-snatching experience, Heather Swanner guides students through the basics of child-portrait composition and camera operation. The shutterbugging commences at Swanner's studio, where she leads 10 pupils (on average) through a 90-minute lesson that covers the fundamentals of flashbulb flicking. Learn to take your camera off of its auto setting and assert human dominance over machines by capturing images with old-fashioned know-how in manual mode. Swanner shows examples of professional portraiture and explains the unique experience of child photography, ensuring that each student has a better understanding of what makes a good photograph and how to capture one with any camera. Prentice paparazzi leave Swanner's studio with the skills necessary to beautifully commemorate childhood milestones, from the exhilarating thrill of baby's first steps to the fearsome awe of baby's first teleport. Classes are available throughout the week and on weekends. Call the studio to set up a convenient session.
