Welcome to Groupon, South Bend! For our inaugural deal, $7 for $15 worth of food and drinks at Indulgence Pastry Shop & Cafe. Since this is everyone's first Groupon, allow us to briefly explain how it works.
How Groupon Works
Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of South Bend: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theater, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power."
If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (15 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupons, or redeem them with our mobile app. Use them whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires on July 18th, 2011. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!
Historians know that Marie Antoinette could not have callously remarked “let them eat cake” upon hearing of bread shortages, as her mouth was too full of delicious pastries to speak. Eat treats fit for royalty with today’s Groupon: for $7, you get $15 worth of fare and drinks at Indulgence Pastry Shop & Cafe. Indulgence whips up all its own baked doughstuffs daily, using local eggs and local know-how. This enclave of flour alchemists, led by classically trained Executive Pastry Chefs Sean Wojtkowski and Garrick Trotter, transmutes base matter into a baked bounty of fluffy croissants, monumental specialty cakes, and brooding danishes haunted by their fathers’ ghosts. Signature items such as the chocolate dome and more than two-dozen flavors of cake (individual servings $3.99–$4.25) will appease dessert nomads forever wandering between cheesecake oases. The café also presents a cornucopia of lunch offerings, including a mandarin-orange-infused asian chicken wrap ($7.25), a classic reuben ($7.25), and a fresh, tomato-mozzarella salad ($6.45).
This Groupon is not valid on February 14.
