What You'll Get

Tea is a magical drink invented by robe-clad English alchemists for calming down lovers' spats and apocalyptic disaster scenarios. Drift away on a stress-free meteor cloud with today's deal: for $5, you get $10 worth of natural café fare and leaf-steeped sips from Infusion Tea in College Park. Buy up to three of today's Groupon to triple your tea-haul.

Unlike imaginary and osmosis teas, infusion teas allow the subtle flavors of herbs and dried tea leaves to permeate more than the mind. Let Infusion Tea’s pots of the tasty elixir steam up your taste buds ($6), or sip tea lattes hot or iced ($3.75). Your Groupon can go toward any of Infusion's loose-leaf teas, such as the savory almond amaretto ($6 for 2 oz.), smoky gunpowder green ($5.75 for 2 oz.), or smooth, white raspberry truffle ($7 for 2 oz.). Specialty coffee drinks come in a rainbow of flavors for extra caffeination, and foodstuffs are light but satisfying, with a menu that features healthy and vegan choices. Munch on salads ($5–$8.25), paninis ($8), tea sandwiches ($7–$8), wraps ($8), and pizza ($8). A vegan pesto panini is served heaping with veggies ($8), and a nut-and-honey whole-wheat wrap is stuffed with organic cashew butter, banana, local wildflower honey, strawberries, and granola ($8). Pizzas are organic and come on homemade whole-wheat crusts; for example, the Greek pizza comes topped with spinach, tomatoes, red onions, olives, and feta cheese ($8).

Drinking tea is more than just imbibing a delicious beverage made by infusing hot water with dried, tasty herbs and leaves. For many, it is a social engagement that eventually leads to common-law marriage and an excuse to nosh on mouthwatering sweets and tiny sandwiches. Ideal for such engagements, Infusion's café area is a spacious room dotted with colorful tables and racks of loose-leaf teas and teacups. Pale-blue walls lined with inspirational phrases and framed art set a creative atmosphere, and a calendar is available online for tracking Infusion's frequent events, which include knitting groups, poetry nights, art fares, and more.

About Infusion Tea

Amid brick walkways and burnt-red walls, leaves rustle softly. Steam rises in the distance, then quietly disappears. One moment, this place emits smoky hints of cedar; the next, it teems with notes of ginger and cinnamon bark. This isn’t an idyllic college campus on a brisk autumn night. It’s Infusion Tea, a charming café on the balmy streets of Orlando. Sun streams through oversized windows, warming chilly scoops of gelato and triple-decker cream-cheese sandwiches. More than 70 types of tea—including blacks, greens, oolongs, and herbals—can be ordered hot or cool, like most jazz saxophone solos. Though they hail from faraway lands such as China, Japan, and South Africa, many of these teas are organic and fair-trade certified, reflecting values owner Christina Cowherd cultivated while traveling the world in the Peace Corps. Rare, premium teas such as gyokuro transport taste buds to new frontiers as well, whether nestled in a takeaway tin or steeped in a pot made for sharing in house.
