What You'll Get
Ancient yogis were famed for their ability to live in solitude, to exist in peace with nature, and to turn into raccoons whenever they were near a garbage can. Transform yourself into a beacon of stretchy peace with today's Groupon to Body Mind Spirit Yoga, located at the Center for Integrative Health and Healing in Delmar. Choose between the following options:
- For $36, you get six Kripalu yoga classes (a $90 value).
- For $60, you get 10 Kripalu yoga classes (a $150 value).
For both options, you may share your classes with others.
Certified Kripalu yoga instructors Jim Whiting and Michelle Carpenter call upon deep knowledge of their craft to assist students in achieving proper alignment, safe stretching, and the correct breathing patterns to journey deeper into their yoga practices. The gurus guide beginning and intermediate students during three 90-minute class offerings of Kripalu yoga, which employs postures, breathing exercises, and mindfulness to decrease anxiety and produce enough prana, or positive energy, to effortlessly rescue puppies stranded in redwood trees. Pupils enter the arena of enlightenment with an Easy Gentle yoga class on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. or water already budding skills at intermediate sessions on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday mornings at 9 a.m., Wake-Up classes focus on sun salutations between deep breaths to prepare for loud, meditative rooster crows.

About Body Mind Spirit Yoga
A gentle warm-up readies students at Body Mind Spirit Yoga for a flow of poses, each performed while standing, sitting, kneeling, and lying down. As students go through these motions, they're encouraged to reconnect with their bodies, regardless of whether they're in a beginner, advanced, or all-levels class. Instructors Jim Whiting and Michelle Carpenter, who've been practicing yoga for more than 30 years combined, also helm free guided meditation sessions, during which participants follow mantra-based breathing while perched atop cozy chairs, floors, cushions, blankets, or skyscrapers.
