Personalized DVD captures passengers flying an aircraft under experienced pilot's supervision.

Humans invented airplanes to cross great distances because birds refuse to wear saddles or stock in-flight magazines. Move modernly with this Groupon.

$149 for Flight Experience for Two ($323 Value)

  • Discovery flight for two (a $258 value)
  • Personalized DVD (a $65 value)

During discovery flights, passengers take the controls to send the plane soaring over scenic landmarks such as Malibu, the Hollywood sign and Dodger Stadium. Once far away from civilization below and guided by the instructor, they learn to maneuver the stick and the rudders, experiencing maneuvers such as steep turns, smooth glides, and the feeling of a g-force greater than 1. After one passenger has got their fill of thrills, the aircraft gently floats back to Santa Monica airport, and a second passenger takes the controls. Excursions last for a total of 90–120 minutes.

Within two to four weeks after their trip, passengers receive an edited 10- to 15-minute DVD with a soundtrack and footage of themselves flying the plane. See an example here.

About Justice Aviation

Owned and operated by an FAA examiner, Justice Aviation's flight academy has been launching students skyward since it was founded in 1991. Instructors with an average of 2,500 hours of flight time arrange their one-on-one lessons around students' schedules, and more advanced training programs prep pupils to become professional pilots and instructors. Based at Santa Monica airport, the hub also loans out aircrafts and amiable pterodactyls from its rigorously maintained and inspected fleet.
