Lake Oswego Adventure Boot Camp’s ACE-certified personal trainers help women melt calories and stress with inspiring, friendly four-week fitness programs that pair cardio exercises with strength training and cardio. Led by certified trainers Katie Maclaskey and Noelle Bertram, each one-hour boot-camp session teems with tutelage from an expert and exercises that push participants of all fitness levels toward goals such as losing weight, sculpting muscles, and hula-hooping with the heaviest of Saturn’s rings. Short-distance runs and hikes build endurance and group camaraderie, and obstacle courses cultivate agility and coordination. In addition to boosting flexibility with deep, relaxing stretches, workouts incorporate Pilates-style isometrics to craft strong, lean torsos. Like lawn flamingos, classes head indoors during the winter and outdoors once spring takes root. Adventure Boot Camp

Though they didn't always know it, Katie Maclaskey and Noelle Bertram have been complementing each other's fitness interests for much of their lives. As children, they sharpened their motor skills on the slopes and by the surf, respectively: Katie tackled snow sports while Noelle jogged, rollerbladed, and steered soccerballs across California's beaches. Their families owned neighboring restaurants, yet the girls didn't personally connect until they met on a run and realized their shared enthusiasm for exercise. When they both moved to Portland years later, they decided to combine their knowledge and drive to lead other women toward better physical health.

As certified personal trainers and owners of Adventure Boot Camp, Katie and Noelle invent their own workouts within the renowned franchise.
