Although Columbus famously "discovered" India by landing at Lexington and Concord and proudly ringing the Liberty Bell, the actual location of India remains a mystery. Follow the best lead the world has had in centuries with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of Indian cuisine at New Delhi Palace in Pasadena.

The talented chefs at New Delhi Palace dish up an eclectic menu of authentic North Indian cuisine crafted with fresh, natural ingredients. Diners can prep globetrotting palates by diving face first into homemade paneer pakora ($6) or delving tiny shovels into a kachumber salad with a blend of onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes ($5). A crisp array of vegetarian dishes bedecks empty stomach space with decorative greenery ($10–$11), and curry connoisseurs can fix fangs into a savory chicken masala ($13)––the owner’s favorite dish and least favorite hat. Prepared in an authentic clay oven, New Delhi’s tasty tandoori dishes include a tikka kebab with boneless chicken cubes ($14) and an Australian charbroiled rack of lamb ($20).

Irrigate arid savor sectors with glasses of Mondavi merlot and cabernet sauvignon ($7) or with robust beers and traditional Indian brews such as lassi, a yogurt-based drink ($4). An Indian-style ice cream ($5) cools off piquant palates with a glacial offering that's both cold and sweet, like a breakup text message from a cupcake.

New Delhi Palace

Lamb vindaloo, vegetable biryani, and chicken tikka masala are just a few of the tantalizing specialties at New Delhi Palace. The extensive menu offers traditional North Indian chicken and lamb dishes as well as plentiful vegetarian and vegan options. Naan bubbles to a golden brown in the restaurant's tandoor, which also cures shrimp and salmon to a perfect pink—a more effective method than trying to make them blush. Guests can wash down food with beer, wine, or the house favorite: mango lassi with sweet, slow-churned yogurt.

Customer Reviews

Service was a bit slower tonight than it's been in the past, but they made up for it with enormous quantities of really tasty food!
