What You'll Get

Though its appearance resembles that of a tortilla, a pancake is never filled with refried beans and rarely used as the liner of a sombrero. Celebrate this all-American flatbread with today’s Groupon to Ol’ South Pancake House. Choose between the following options:

  • For $12, you get pancakes and Southern fare for two (up to a $26.50 value). This option is valid for any two items on the menu, Monday–Friday, except the T-bone special dinner.

  • For $25, you get pancakes and Southern fare for four (up to a $53 value). This option is valid for any four items on the menu, Monday–Friday, except the T-bone special dinner.

A joint venture of the Benson and Brozgold families for nearly half a century, Ol’ South Pancake House tantalizes taste buds with a [menu](http://www.olsouthpancakehouse.com/menu.html) built on stacks of fluffy pancakes and classic Southern-style suppers. With the option to build their own, diners can erect a steaming stack of six buttermilk, buckwheat, or corn pancakes ($5.65), adding on delicious, decadent decoration in the form of sweet toppings ($0.85 each) such as peanut-butter chips, strawberries, spiced apples, and tiny top hats. Served with two eggs and a choice of pancakes, biscuits, or other pillowy plate fillers, classic breakfast combos include the likes of two juicy pork chops ($9.25) or corned beef hash ($7.55), and dinnertime ushers in its own supper-time specific specialties such as the hand-battered, mouthwateringly redundant chicken-fried chicken, served with texas toast and a choice of sides, and smothered in country gravy ($9.25). While eating in Ol’ South’s homey dining room, patrons can soak in the essence of a country kitchen, surrounded by warm wood paneling, ample bucket chairs, and a welcome lack of Civil War ghosts. The family-friendly restaurant keeps flapjack tanks filled 24 hours a day, and offers a roster of [daily specials](http://www.olsouthpancakehouse.com/specials.html) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.

About Ol’ South Pancake House

The Benson and Brozgold families founded Ol’ South Pancake House in 1962 and have stacked mountains of the same griddle-kissed pancakes from the same menu ever since, sticking to original recipes with the addition of Southern diner favorites. Cooks pour fluffy disks of buttermilk-, buckwheat-, or corn-cake batter to forge the rich foundation for strata of sweet or fruity toppings, including spiced apples, peanut-butter chips, and strawberries. Like off-duty senators nestled safe for the night in the congressional warehouse, pancakes pile into short or tall stacks, or in a behemoth pile of eight for the diner’s Take the Pancake Challenge. Any intrepid eater capable of packing away the entire monument to fluffiness in 60 minutes gets the meal free.

In addition to pancakes, the menu features a familiar spread of hearty entrees and sides served all day long. The cooks hand-batter pieces of chicken-fried steak before glazing them with a layer of country-style gravy, or sear catfish and half-pound burger patties on the grill. For internationally inspired flavors, they can also whisk together huevos rancheros, griddle fresh crêpes, or prepare the german pancake filled with fresh lemon, powdered sugar, and whipped butter served with a side of maple syrup.
