Olio Pizza e Più's chefs forge authentic Neapolitan–style pizzas in a wood-burning brick oven alongside a menu of antipasti, pasta, and entrees that teleport taste buds to Southern Italy. The fiery interior of the oven reaches temperatures hotter than Dante's infamous disco inferno and yields crispy-edged pies kissed with char made in true Neapolitan style—herb-free, with san marzano tomatoes and salt. Meat lovers nosh on the mezzaluna, a pizza-calzone hybrid with half salami and ricotta and half cherry tomatoes and smoked mozzarella ($19). Herbivores opt for the vegetariana, a margherita pizza enhanced with red peppers, eggplant, and zucchini ($17). The oven pauses between doughy disks to change out wood-torching dragons and fire main courses such as the salmone alla napoletana with cherry tomatoes, potatoes, and white wine ($19). Though not included in today's deal, the cocktail list boasts the handiwork of master mixologist Dusan Zaric of Employees Only.

The kitchen eschews modern conveyor-belt ovens and cold-fusion stoves to prepare the classic pies and saucy entrees, opting instead for a traditional wood-fired brick oven to roast dough disks and fresh cuts of meat to a sizzling finish. As guests sup on melty bites of San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh basil, and creamy mozzarella, glittering chandeliers, varnished hardwoods, and rustic, rough-hewn cabinets escort diners back in time, much like a picnic atop a DeLorean. Olio pairs its Mediterranean feastings with an impressive list of wines and cocktails, as well as fresh dessert dishes, house-made gelato, and gourmet illy coffee.
