What You'll Get
Making food from scratch typically requires advance preparation, adherence to a recipe, and your third and final genie wish. Save the third wish for more wishes with today's Groupon: for $7, you get $15 worth of gourmet burgers at Patty Shack Burgers in Grand Prairie.
At Patty Shack Burgers, grillmasters mix toppings, spices, and sauces into the patties of customizable gourmet burgers cooked on a flat-top grill. Diners draw up blueprints for half-pound burgers ($7) that include up to three mix-in toppings from the eatery’s 23 selections, including bacon, pineapple, and jalapeños. Like linebackers in an antique store, guests can tackle vintage creations such as the Chowboy burger, which beefsmiths festoon with barbecue sauce, cheddar, and relish ($7/half lb.), or hungry folks can sink fangs into the Jethro burger, which teems with cajun spices, blue-cheese crumbles, and bacon ($7). Patty Shack also showcases less burgery offerings including the Homewrecker ($5), a half-pound angus hot dog that cooks can douse with chili, cheese, and grilled onions for $2 more. Diners feast at handmade tables that feature inlaid knick-knacks, which are secured beneath glass to prevent them from starting turf wars with Hummel figurines.

About Mixed Up Burgers
Not content to simply dress burgers in cheese, sauces, and fresh veggies, the grillmasters at Mixed Up Burgers take toppings where no garnish has gone before: inside the patty itself. Their fully customizable burgers with toppings mixed in anchor a menu of burger-joint mainstays, including chili-topped nachos and half-pound hot dogs. Meats get their sizzling flavor from an authentic 1940s grill before arriving in a dining room decked with corrugated tin, rustic wooden tables, and vintage animatronic soda jerks.
