If you've never had authentic St. Louis–style pizza, then what you think is pizza might in fact be a cunningly disguised pretzel. Keep your gullet greased with a glass of house wine ($4.25), and put a sweet exclamation point on the night with a slice of cheesecake ($2.95).
Pirrone's classic St. Louis–style pizza and 30 years of enduring business have made it an institution in Florissant, and the new location in St. Peters delivers the same tastes with slightly different scenery and a less neurotic poltergeist. Dine-in with a date, or call in and carry out so that you can spend a romantic evening of being swallowed by the couch during a Lost DVD marathon.
