Enjoyed Red Pump Spirits. We met the owners and they provided us with an "up close" look at the operation, sharing family stories, the history of the Whiskey Rebellion and how iconic PA Rye Whiskey is made in their setting. We were given personalized attention and the tasting covered the full gamut of the product line. If you want to see a small, craft distillery and get personal attention, you won't do better than Red Pump Spirits.

What a lovely place to tour. We had a bit of a history lesson and science lesson and lesson on distilling. Fun and informative. But the tasting was the very best part. Everything was amazing. Wow! My husband and I took home 3 bottles and look forward to visiting again soon.

Best Vodka, Best Whiskey (honestly, the Rye rocks!), Liquors and limoncello! I have had in all the micro distilleries in Western PA. The owner is a Vietnam Veteran Marine Corps Helicopter pilot and a college graduate of chemistry. Took my wife and I on a hour tour and education on everything you wanted to know about the making of his spirits! I left with a Rye, limoncello and peach liquor.

My husband and I took another couple with us to Red Pump Spirits. The owner gave us a nicely detailed history of whiskey before giving us a behind the scenes tour. We ended with a wonderful whiskey tasting before having a farewell cocktail. The owner and his wife are marvelous hosts. I will definitely be back. You must try all of the fruit liqueurs!

About Red Pump Spirits

Pennsylvania has a long history of whiskey making, dating back to even before the founding of the United States. Now, Red Pump Spirits has entered that tradition, with a keen awareness of history and their community. They use grains sourced from nearby Weatherbury Farms for their mash and Pennsylvania spring water for the distilling process, resulting in smooth, sippable spirits.

  • Rebellion Rye: a bold and spicy rye distilled in the style of Monongahela whiskey, a traditional style that dates back to the Whiskey Rebellion in the late 18th century (90% ABV)
  • Blue Parrot Vodka: made from a wheat grain, this vodka is distilled multiple times and filtered through charcoal for a pleasant aroma and smooth taste (40% ABV)
  • Farmhouse Whiskey: distilled in barrels previously used to age Rebellion Rye, this smoother, more mellow whiskey is named for the house in Cokeburg, PA where the owners grew up (40% ABV)
