I was very happy with our experience at RHC. I wished they had bit bigger of a ring, but overall it was a very good experience and very informative as well. I have and will continue to recommend RHC to people. I wish I could get out there during the weekdays, but its too much of a drive from downtown Louisville after school. Great place though

Really like the instructor! She explained step by step instructions and the "why", really like the educating as to"why" you do what you do when horseback riding. This was my ant my daughters first experience horseback riding and we are both very happy with this experience!

Absolutely had a great time. Most horseback riding lessons, do not incorporate the preparation of the horse. RHC allows the kids/riders to walk the horse out of the stable, brush them, prepare them for the saddle, saddle them, and then walk them to the area of the lesson. It shows the full process of riding. It also allows the horse to become more friendly with the rider. It is great!!! My son is 4 years old and I love that they teach responsibility and respect to the horses!!

About RHC Riding Academy

As RHC Riding Academy’s head trainer, Erin Reid shares a passion for horses that began when her family founded RHC in 1985. A devotee to all things equine since age 5, Erin quickly caught onto the finer points of riding and has instructed students for the past 19 years. Barn manager Debra Reid, who discovered her life’s passion while growing up in Kentucky, managed 70 horses at a breeding facility in Southern California and unites her experience with Erin's. Together they oversee nine horses, several of which are Arabians—prized for their distinctive beauty and superior intellects.

Students come to the facility from all backgrounds to learn proper saddling and riding techniques. Erin supplements her technical training with lessons in horse psychology, helping students bond with steeds or to get them to open up about complex relationships with their mothers. Horses in need of discipline or a hay-filled couch on which to crash can be boarded and trained at the facility, which boasts box stalls, an indoor riding arena, and a large outdoor arena.
