Twelve Weeks Performance Band Class (Ages 9-17)

Rock University located just minutes from 485 in Concord NC. Rock U is locally owned and operated since its inception over 11 years ago. Rock U is one of the oldest performance band studios in the area and the only studio with a full rehearsal sound stage used by local and national artist. Our goal is taking students from the lesson room or bedroom to the concert stage playing live concert events in some of the top venues in our area. 

Now you ask what is needed and what should your son or daughter expect when participating in a Rock U Band

Basic mastery of your chosen instrument (Are you capable learning songs or can play songs now.)

Do you want to sing in a band setting? Hooray you are ready for a Rock U band

Rehearsal commitment: 2 hours every week for 12 weeks on the same day and time.

Practice: Are you willing to work on your parts every day and come in prepared for rehearsal?

Respect, Professionalism. Commitment, Teamwork, Positive Attitude, Dedication Willingness to follow Band Instructor's Direction, Willingness to play and perform music that might be out of your comfort zoon and or artist/bands you might not necessarily listen to.

What the parents need to know and expect.

Ability to get the student to rehearsal every week. Understanding every student is not at the same skill level. Respect and positive attitude for all students, staff and parents. 

Our rehearsals are closed to all parents we want Rock U Band students to be creative and let loose their inner Rock Star with no fear mom's and dads are watching. 

Let your excitement build for show day and one of the most awesome experience's you will have seeing a concert. Trust us seeing and hearing the performance for the first time will have you on your feet all show long. 

Rock U does not have try-outs if the student has the ability to play an instrument or sing a song there in no-one sits on the bench. This program is about playing in a band.
