What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We offer students the opportunity to learn Dragon style Kung fu, a street applicable self-defense art that will strengthen the body and mind. We also teach Yang style Tai Chi, and Ba Duan Jin Qigong. We offer affordable training programs and flexible hours, and there are no contracts.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Learning a discipline that would strengthen and maintain my body and mind as I grow older made me seek out Kung fu. Unlike Karate or Tae Kwando, which require the breaking of boards and is hard on the body, Kung fu promotes joint and whole body health. I'll be practicing Kung fu when I'm much older.
What do you love most about your job?
I love introducing new people to the art of Kung fu, and watching as they learn and grow stronger. I also love the community of people that has been built in Flemington--the students know each other, and enjoy each other's company as they train together. Kung fu is present in everything we do.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
A student complimented my teaching and said that she always feels energized after class. Best of all, she said that she always has fun when she's learning, and that she's constantly telling people about the school. I can't ask for anything more than that.
