What You'll Get
Balloon animals may look cute, but even the horses are incredibly hard to ride. Board a more buoyant balloon with today’s Groupon: for $105, you get a 40- to 60-minute hot air balloon ride and a post-flight picnic from SunKiss Ballooning (a $210 value).
The balloon gurus at SunKiss Ballooning safely float their customers high above the pastoral paradises of Warren, Washington, and Saratoga counties for peaceful aerial getaways filled with breathtaking natural vistas. Before each flight, passengers are picked up from a predesignated location in Glens Falls, just south of Lake George, and ferried to the launch site, where the experienced crew assembles the balloon and prepares for launch. The company's secure and dependable balloons reach sizes of up to 105,000 cubic feet and can lift up to 2,450 lbs. of weight in their baskets, roughly the load-bearing capacity of an entire flock of flying elephants. Atmospheric tourists sail through the heavens for up to an hour, caressing their corneas with dazzling views of Lake George, the Adirondacks, and the sweeping hills of Vermont. At the end of the gravitational time-out, a post-flight picnic featuring champagne and snacks gives passengers a chance to readjust to life on the ground and sort through Facebook friend requests from impressed birds. From pick-up to drop-off, the entire adventure takes roughly three hours.

About SunKiss Ballooning
Owner and pilot Todd J. Monahan remembers chasing hot air balloons across the sky as a land-locked child. After attending extensive training and FAA-approved safety seminars, he finally caught up to them, founding SunKiss Ballooning and enlisting the expertise of his brother Scott as well as a cast of experienced pilots and crewmembers. Citing safety as a priority, SunKiss' captains stay up to date on the latest in balloon technology, and they escort passengers through the sky in nine vessels, each rated to carry different gross weights and repel different-sized Mothras.
