Tailoring the exclusive afternoon to Groupon buyers, Teatro ZinZanni welcomes ticket holders to the Belgium-imported, antique spiegeltent, offering hunger-quieting appetizers and letting visitors mingle with the cast. After nestling into their seats, patrons take in the show’s wondrous spectacle while digging into a delectable salad, soup, entree, and dessert. Wine and cocktail options offer of-age attendees thirst-quenching libations whereas alcohol-free drinks wet the whistles of younger showgoers and teetotaling dipping birds.

Drawing from Norse myth with cheeky abandon, Dinner at Wotan’s immerses guests in a topsy-turvy tribute to the Scandinavian end of the world while skewering Wagner’s epic opera Der Ring des Nibelungen. Delirious divinities such as Freya, Thor, and Wotan imbue the show with its irreverent structure as they mount hog steeds to travel to Valhalla, hula-hoop with Wagner’s rings, and win their coveted golden apples. Through a combination of cirque stunts, European cabaret, vaudeville, improv, and pop music, the show flip-flops between hilarity and stunning grace. Jaw-dropping performers include the fantastically flexible Christopher Phi, aerial-rope artist Terry Crane, and high-flying dancers Vertical Tango.

Teatro ZinZanni

In 1992, Norman Langill stopped his stroll down a Barcelona street on a curiosity-driven whim and entered a magical, alternative universe. What he found was one of Europe's few remaining spiegeltents—portable dance halls that had once acted as homes for wandering cabarets and circuses. Enchanted by the space and the rakish show inside, Langill resolved to bring the experience back to America.

Now in its 17th year, Teatro ZinZanni brings Langill's dream to life inside an imported Belgian spiegeltent originally constructed in 1910. Amid its hand-carved wooden columns and sparkling stained glass, performers enact enchanted evenings that blend European cirque, live music, clowning, and cabaret. Audiences seated restaurant-style at white-clothed tables also savor a multi-course meal as they take in the sultry spectacle.

The performers made my 90 year old mother feel very special. She loved all the attention and had a great time. Thank you to Teatro ZinZanni

We love Teatro ZinZanni, we first went for our anniversary a few years ago, and then again with another family for their children's show. We are going again for Father's Day as a treat for my husband. It's a lot of fun and the food is fantastic! I highly recommend this for a date night. But also consider going to one of the kids shows if you have children, it's a great time from about 18 months old on up.

LOVED every single thing about this experience. The flow of the show and meal was perfect and the actors' interaction with the guests was so fun. I would go again and again
