What You'll Get
Café society is said to have originated in Vienna, where billionaires would meet to discuss post-impressionism, the waltz, and which Family Matters character is tops. Today's Groupon provides the eats, sips, and atmosphere for similarly stimulating conversation: for $10, you get $20 worth of global cuisine at the Dream Café. This Groupon is good at both the Addison and Uptown locations.
For more than 20 years, the Dream Café has delighted the denizens of Dallas with an eclectic array of healthy eats and decadent fare inspired by world cuisine. The breakfast/lunch menu features Southwestern favorites as well as eggs-and-griddle fare, including the heavenly Cloud Cakes (ricotta pancakes with fresh strawberries and crème fraiche, $9.50). Noontime nibblers and evening eaters may engage in a gentleman's wager to travel around the world in 80 bites of Asian pork dumplings ($6), Southwest salad ($11), and Mystic Pasta (grilled chicken, brie, bacon, caramelized onions, and garlic cream sauce on farfalle pasta, $11.50). Feasters born with one stomach instead of the usual four can comfortably fill up on lighter fare such as the veggie-laden Garden Stir Fry ($12) or Square Meal (with organic black beans, brown rice, and tahini-miso sauce, $8). The weekend brunch menu offers an abbreviated lineup of fast-breaking, lunch-taking treats for bleary-eyed revelers fresh from an all-night Yahtzee rave.
With its comfortable, cheery atmosphere and mod décor, Dream Café is the place to enjoy a globally inspired family dinner or share popovers with strawberry butter ($2) and Dream Blend coffee ($2.50) with the cute chupacabra-wrangler next door.

About The Dream Cafe
At both locations of Dream Cafe, fresh, seasonal ingredients put a healthy twist on meals from around the globe. Chefs cater to gluten-free palates with dishes such as Sonoma Squash, an acorn squash stuffed with rice, currants, and creamy goat cheese, then nestled next to a crisp side salad. They also craft dishes from sustainable ingredients such as hormone-free, locally sourced grilled chicken and grass-fed beef, creating healthy takes on meals from enchiladas to stir-fry. At dinner, guests can pair their plates with a glass of wine slowly sipped on the patio, where, on select nights, musicians will serenade them with live music.
Dream Cafe serves breakfast and espresso drinks all day, so guests can always indulge cravings for the restaurant's signature Cloudcakes—creamy ricotta pancakes topped with strawberries and creme fraiche. While parents partake, little ones can amuse themselves in patio-adjacent play areas; at the Addison location, a brand-new play structure lets them pass the time by scaling a climbing wall or slipping laughing down a slide.
