Tough Lotus offers 40 classes a week, including mornings. New students must take the 45-minute Intro to Aerial class before venturing into other classes. See the full schedule with five new Tough Lotus classes, which include calorie-burning Cardio Swing and Interval Aerial, as well as Aerial Stretch and Aerial Ballet which incorporates spinal decompression while toning and lengthening muscles.
Tough Lotus owner-instructor—a former Broadway dancer—demonstrates the workouts from aerial-fitness classes, pushing students to challenge their limits within a supportive and welcoming environment. Students hover above the studio's black-and-white checkered floor inside aerial hammocks suspended from the ceiling. From this perch, they bend their bodies through routines that activate various muscle groups and increase flexibility, balance, muscle tone, and core strength, improving functional movement. In any given class, a collection of students of varying experience levels, body types, and ages follow every movement as they soar forward and back in Superman-like poses or lift their legs.
