What You'll Get
The concept of the sharable plate was pioneered by Genghis Khan, who authored the notable cookbook classic Party of 100,000: Keeping Your Mongol Army Well-Fed During Sieges on Eurasia. Enjoy the civilized sophistication of shared dining with today's Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of fine fare and drink at Trezo Vino Wine Bistro, located within Park Place in Leawood. This Groupon is valid for dine-in only.
Trezo Vino Wine Bistro deals in delicious and sharable plates coupled with an extensive wine collection. Discover new cooking and utensil-wielding techniques as you watch your soon-to-be-eatens be prepared in the restaurant's exhibition kitchen. Dinner items include favorites such as the Day Boat Scallops, served with crisp potato galette, grilled asparagus and pancetta aioli ($24), and the pasta al fungi, a freshly made spinach pasta with caramelized oyster and two varieties of mushroom ($17). For open-air appetites, Trezo Vino offers an outdoor patio with a special small plate menu, served nightly from 4 p.m.–10 p.m. Savor the chicken artichoke dip ($8) or the lobster mac, a cheesy monument to human innovation and crustacean defeat ($10).
Palate-possessors can pair their chosen plates with a choice from more than 100 wines, with oenophile-elating options available by the bottle (prices vary) and by the glass ($7–$14). Wine flights ($12–$16), containing tastings of three wines, are also available. Check the bistro's events schedule for live music, performed on the patio on selected evenings with only minor pyrotechnic displays.
- We had a great experience at Trezo Vino. We spent a pleasant evening with friends, enjoyed the wine, and the dinner. Our waiter was attentive and very nice. Overall, our experience was wonderful. – OpenTable user who dined on 8/21/2010
- Trezo Vino is one of the few "go to" restaurants where I know I can get (consistantly) [sic] good food, a nice glass of wine & decent service. This visit was no exception. I love their Bruschetta! – OpenTable user who dined on 8/5/2010
