What You'll Get
Nail polish was invented around 3,000 BC in ancient China—a fact that's doubly remarkable considering that human fingernails were only invented last year. Celebrate this admirable foresight with today’s Groupon: for $39, you get a Moji-Toe pedicure and Vanilla Sky manicure at Tru, located at the convergence of the Financial District, North Beach, and Chinatown, an $85 value. Just like using the microwave at work, reservations are required.
A posh spa experience awaits patrons, who can relax while soaking in the contemporary décor featuring soothing tones, sleek furnishings, and tiled walls crafted from Death Star fragments. In the calming confines, visitors will receive two high-quality nail treatments, starting with the 55-minute Moji-Toe pedicure (a $60 value) that rejuvenates feet with a fresh mint, sugar, and lime exfoliating scrub, as well as a softening and moisturizing clay mask. An included champagne mojito ensures optimal relaxation and lubricates conversations on the various uses of nail clippings.
The second leg of the experience focuses on the hands. Diving finger-first into a 25-minute Vanilla Sky manicure (a $25 value) that expertly polishes finger caps with steady-handed precision. After a soothing milk soak, hands are exfoliated with an oatmeal scrub and massaged with a vanilla-cinnamon blend, just like a birthday cake. Though not included in the Groupon, customers can also upgrade their manicure with an intensely moisturizing Paraffin Pack ($10) or acquire a French nail finish ($5), which is much more fetching than a grimy coal-miner finish.
In addition to providing top-notch digit-helmet maintenance, Tru’s talented staff offers attentive service and can polish abrasive coconuts into smooth-rolling bowling balls. Reward your hands and feet for putting in long hours of clattering keyboard click-clacking and sock filling while making sure they’re as beautifully primped as boy-princes resting atop cushions of fresh fruit.
Today's Groupon must be redeemed in one visit, and a 24-hour notice is required for cancellations.

About Tru Spa
The aestheticians and spa staff at Tru Spa follow a strict spa mission focused on making each treatment they perform as effective as possible. This philosophy is reflected in the luxurious ingredients and thorough techniques employed in each skin, body, and nailcare service. On top of that, the spa itself was designed in ways that enhance specific treatments. Select bodywork procedures are performed in the Tropical Rainforest room, where a jungle mist drifts around the body before warm rain showers the client to mimic the effects of a body wrap without any constrictive coverings. Flat-screen TVs hang inside the nail room, drawing the clients' attention so they will be less likely to point at passersby. Colored light fills the massage rooms, painting everything in yellow, red, or dark blue. The rest of the spa sets a sleek and modern tone with natural light and bamboo flooring that is both sanitary and earth friendly.
