About TRUE Health and Wholeness
"We coach the whole human" is the tagline at TRUE Health and Wholeness. Although offering a truly comprehensive selection of services might seem like a herculean task, it's one that the center accomplishes with ease.
For TRUE's founders, Christian and Nina Elliot, the best way to approach health is all at once. Consequently, the Arlington studio adopts a synergistic view to improving clients' health, one that takes into account not only clients' diet and exercise, but fostering a positive mental outlook and providing a meaningful support network. This philosophy is evident across TRUE's offerings, which are filed into four categories: fitness, food, wellness, and education. Read on to learn more about each one:
Although traditional, one-on-one workouts with a trainer are available, clients can also opt for private Pilates workouts or sessions with a running coach. Similarly, small-group training options—which boast a 1:4 instructor to client ratio—include Pilates Reformer and strength-training classes. Meanwhile, large group classes run the gamut from Les Mills GRIT high-intensity interval training to low-impact barre workouts.
The studio frequently hosts cooking classes and offers grocery-store tours. In addition, TRUE's crafts meal plans tailored to a variety of health goals, including improving athletic performance and managing autoimmune disorders.
In continuing its holistic approach to health, the center's many wellness services include naturopathic medical treatments, detoxifying ionic footbaths, and infrared-sauna sessions. Others include the ancient healing art of acupuncture and several massage and bodywork modalities, including reflexology and craniosacral therapy.
There are opportunities for members to continue learning in all of the above categories at TRUE. Aside from nutrition-coaching programs personalized to individual clients, the schedule frequently includes workshops, such as Health 101 seminars, cooking labs, and fitness check-ins.
