Blast tactically into a beam-blasting fantasy emitting infrared beams with today's Groupon. You get unlimited laser-tag play at Ultrazone Laser Tag, the largest laser-tag arena in the LA area. All you can play passes at Ultrazone are normally $22 with an extra $5 charge for late-night blasting; although all-day play on Wednesdays and Thursdays is available for $12, use today's deal to spend a weekend hitting your loved ones with painless lasers.
Serve and volley laser bolts across a darkened, fog-filled court in a tense match to see who is master of the laser. Ultrazone is a 5,000-square-foot multi-level arena with mazes and music. Buckle into the transformative vests and prepare to be transported into another dimension. You’ll bravely bound through the narrow passageways and hidden corridors, competing for high scores and victory in a series of battles.
Laser tag is a fun way to live out video-game hero dreams, to work out tensions with your roommate, or to live out your fantasy of starting a ragtag militia of space marines with Mark from accounting. Instead of cartoon re-runs, treat the kids you baby-sit to a more active adventure for the imagination, or get a small group together and make it a social excursion. Ultrazone is located in Alhambra and has plenty of parking (free for three hours).
- I went with a large group of friends and I had a fantastic time. The facility is small, but it didn't matter when you're having fun with friends…The staff was friendly and didn't repeat their rules and safety to us whenever we head in after a few times. – Michelle U., Insider Pages
- Lots of fun for those who aren't quite old enough to get into R-rated movies alone and loads of fun for those who are! – K.Y., Insider Pages
- It's dark and you get to run around with laser guns and shoot everyone. Isn't this every boy's / man's fantasy? – Maria P., Insider Pages
The World’s Only Professional Laser-Tag Player
Phoenix is not just home to Stratum Lasertag, it’s also the home of the world’s only professional laser-tag player, Tad “LaserTad” McKenzie. McKenzie, 33, first gained the laser-tag world’s attention when he won the 1998 Laser Tag World Championships in Orlando despite playing a bass guitar non-stop during all of his matches.
In his words, Tad is known for “having the hottest girlfriend in town, driving a 1998 Chevy Cavalier, dressing like the dude from The Matrix way before that movie even came out, and never, ever losing a match.” He’s also the world’s foremost expert on laser-tag strategy, having penned the 2004 bestseller LaserTad’s LaserRad Laser-Tag LaserTactics For Laser-Tag LaserFanatics.
