The EBCT C300 scanner captures high-resolution 3-D images of the heart and lungs. Although the device uses CT technology, it scans at 10 times the speed of a traditional CT machine. The radiologist on staff interprets the results and drafts a report for the patient and the patient's physician, potentially detecting warning signs for heart disease and lung cancer. The visit, which includes an explanatory consultation, lasts 45-60 minutes. During the consultation, staff will interpret the scans and explain other available health scans and programs; these additional scans and programs are not required.

About Virtual Imaging
Virtual Imaging's office is the only place in the state of Georgia where you can find Imatron's EBCT C300 scanner. The high-tech piece of medical CT scanning equipment helps its subjects prevent heart attacks by spotting coronary calcium and plaque deposits, and can also detect the telltale signs of lung and colon cancer before the disease takes hold of the body. Using electron beam tomography (EBT), the scanner also records images of the abdominal area using less radiation than a standard CT machine and none of the props found in a typical photo booth.
