Before ice cream, cones were only filled with cheerleading chants and an overwhelming sense of responsibility for organizing traffic. Enjoy a conical dessert with today's Groupon to What's the Scoop? Ice Cream & More. Choose from the following options:

  • For $13, you get single-scoop cones for an in-store party of 10 (a $26 value).
  • For $32, you get single-scoop cones for an in-store party of 25 (a $65 value).
  • For $60, you get single-scoop cones for an in-store party of 50 (a $130 value).
  • For $5, you get $10 worth of ice cream, shakes, and sundaes.

The family of cone-crafters at What's the Scoop? Ice Cream & More plump their sundaes exclusively with rich, creamy flavors of Gunther's ice cream. Little-league champs, birthday celebrants, or conventions of Cher look-alikes swing in for cones wearing single-scoop hats made of flavors such as swiss orange chip, crunchy pecan praline, or the healthier black cherry, which has no sugar added. À la carte pickers can grab the black-and-tan sundae, which ensconces two scoops of toasted almond in hot fudge and caramel ($5.75). Ice-cream floats ($3.50–$4.75) come in a variable rainbow of flavors, and real-fruit freezes ($2.80+) abound in sensations such as mango, pineapple, strawberry, and champagne.

What's the Scoop? Ice Cream & More

What's the Scoop? Ice Cream & More doles out chilly treats crafted from Gunther’s Ice Cream, a Sacramento staple renowned for its richness. Blended with 16% butterfat cream, as opposed to the 10-12% used in commercial brands, Gunther’s hearty dessert stands ready to take on topping such as hot fudge, brownies, and marshmallow, or hop into containers for field trips to distant freezers. In addition to its signature scoops, the shop also doles out shaved ice, tangy fruit freezes, and ice cream cakes and pies.

Customer Reviews

Very friendly owner!
Quynh N. · November 18, 2013
I moved here to Sacramento from Texas two years ago. Since then, we have found a shortage of great ice cream in California, as southerners know how ice cream should be - thick, rich, full of flavor and made with HEAVY cream. After trying many places, we fell in love with What's the Scoop ice cream. Their ice cream is delicious and reminds me of home. It is very reasonably priced, very family friendly, they have a great selection of flavors, and the staff is always a delight as well.
