Y.G. Lee Tae Kwon Do Academy
Master Yil Gyo Lee has more than 25 years of teaching experience, and he's been practicing tae kwon do since age 12—including a stint on the Korean Army Special Forces' tae kwon do team. His academy takes a traditionalist approach toward the martial art, instilling in students of all ages a code of ethics and respect for the hard work it takes to move up a belt rank.
Lee has gained a particular reputation for helping children improve both their physical skills and their self-confidence and discipline. While the sport keeps them active and socially engaged, its benefits also apply at home and in the classroom. Young students learn how to listen to directions, follow through, and behave responsibly.
