Comfortable cabin-style accommodation with garden and parking. Lovely, quiet cabin style hotel with in site free parking. Quite a quirky hotel with a lovely garden - and lots of flamingo statues. Basic but comfortable. It is about a 10 minute drive to the historic town centre. Breakfast is available for €12.50 per person.

Lovely Place for a Camargue Base This was our 5 day base for exploring The Camargue. A motel rather than hotel, with cars parked right outside all the rooms. Double bed with very comfortable mattress. Loads of wardrobe space though room itself not that big. All have outside table with 2 chairs, some more private than others. Safe in room impossible to use, actually broke a nail trying to open it. Told manager when we first arrived but he didn’t do anything about it. Huge bath, diagonally across the bathroom so bigger than the end wall with good shower over. There was always plenty of hot water. Perfect free wi-fi. Breakfast just an extra €9 each, good choice of hot and cold with decent coffee (on last day they gave us free coffee!) with tables inside and out. There was a lovely outdoor pool, well looked after with comfy loungers and noodles! Always nearly deserted and we enjoyed the last hour or so of the sun each day. Only slight downsides were that it does need mosquito mesh on the windows otherwise you can’t leave them open. Would be hell in high summer. You’d either fry or be bitten! Only 2 sockets in room but we coped. Secure electric gates at night a plus. It’s on a roundabout so we were worried about noise but no problem at all. 20 mins walk, 5 mins drive to town, if you can find somewhere to park! All the staff we met were very helpful. For €67 per night this was a real bargain.

Good value, ideal location for this tourist spot We found this to be a charming, friendly hotel, a short walk along the canal from the old town of Aigues-Mortes and easy driving into the Camargue. Our motel-style room was comfortable and clean. The welcome from the owners was very friendly and they were were generous with local knowledge. A good breakfast selection was available on the buffet and we enjoyed breakfast and aperitifs on the shady patio. We would stay here again if in the area.

Pleasant and reasonably priced for a tourist hot-spot None of the usual French business-oriented cheap hotels seem to be around the tourist destination of Aigues-Mortes so the Hotel des 4 Vents is a more than adequate substitute where the proprietor takes a personal interest and even shows you round the allocated room, explaining how everything works. Having a bath at this price point almost makes it stand out these days, and it is clean, comfortable and with decently-sized bathrooms. It does remind you a bit of a US desert motel where they have taken the trouble to provide plenty of plants and a covered area to take your mind off the surrounding countryside. Here it is an industrial location so it does take your mind off the surroundings. That, a laidback attitude and a decent Continental breakfast makes it a pleasant stop just 10 minutes from what must be the summer frenzy of the walled town. It wasn't needed but the proprietor proudly presented the fairly recent AC. No hesitation about returning there when necessary.
