Horror show. Absolute nightmare . Absolute nightmare. People doing drugs in parking lot, prostitution occurring in hallways , filthy dirty rooms , horrible smells. Worst hotel, hands down, I’ve ever seen. Completely false advertising with photos and ratings. Do not even think for one minute to stay here.

Comfortable Room, Great Customer Service During Masters Week. I was part of a security team working at Augusta National GC prior to and during The Masters Golf Tournament. My teammate and I were originally booked into a not even third world quality establishment in Augusta, but fortunately got transferred to this hotel. The PROs are many, the CONs few: PRO: 1. Room was clean and everything was well-maintained. Lights, electrical outlets, A/C, plumbing all worked well. Bed was comfortable. TV had decent channels. 2. As our shift at ANGC started at 3:30 a.m., we were shuttled to the course and departed every morning at 3 a.m. The night manager, Lashawn, realized after the first morning that she needed to have breakfast prepared by 2:30 every morning, and she did so with a super-positive attitude! And the breakfast quality was excellent: Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, pretty good coffee, and juices were on the menu, and tasted great! 3. This hotel is located within easy walking distance of a supermarket, and two very good non-chain restaurants (Aiken Fish House and The Feed Sack, both reviewed separately), plus some tolerable fast-food joints and a below average-quality Applebees. 4. There was an absence of dodgy characters loitering around the hotel, which was a big positive! CON: 1. Hotel WiFi wasn't compatible with Apple operating systems, which was surprising considering that the majority of smartphones are iPhone models. This made making additional travel arrangements somewhat difficult, as cellular coverage for T-Mobile was not strong. (There wasn't a computer available for guest use, either, but I eventually figured a work-around.) 2. The second night of my stay, a protracted argument between two guys in the room next door turned into a very loud shouting match and then a physical fight. I was just waiting for gunfire to erupt, based on the yelled threats. The walls are so thin, I could hear these dudes heavy breathing in between the commentary. When the fight moved outside to the parking lot, the local police arrived, and arrested the participants. No further dust-ups occurred during the rest of my time there.

Never again Never again. First, the frond desk lady could not have been nicer. We needed a dog friendly hotel so were referred to this one by Bring Fido. Our first room, supposedly non-smoking, wreaked of smoke, in fact the smoke detector was laying on the desk. Our second room was better but the shower was moldy and had paint peeling. The grounds were disgusting. Cigarette butts, bottle caps and assorted trash laying around. We'd have left but our reservation was non-refundable. Breakfast had a few sausage, some eggs, three half rotten apples and two tiny oranges. Bad, bad bad. As started at the beginning. We're done with this hotel group.

Behavior of the Staff is Outrageous. I am currently a guest at Clarion Inn & Suites,155 Colony Parkway, Aiken, SC. I am so upset that I am beyond words. This morning, at 06:30, went to have breakfast, which starts are 6:00, nothing was set up, made coffee and sat in the dining area, I watch for 15 minutes as three employees, laughed and sang and chatted. They made jokes about “negro” spirituals, and that is not appropriate language. The truly upsetting part is, when I said to them your behavior is outrageous, they laughed at me, like it was a joke or they are intoxicated. Yesterday afternoon one of the maids was drinking beer in the stairwell. This is not have people behave in Aiken, SC. I work for the largest employer here and I will never stay here again and I will warn my coworkers not to let anyone stay here. The behavior of the staff is outrageous.

Remind me to NEVER STAY IN THIS FILTHY HOTEL AGAIN! Where do I begin? The room was dirty, smoke detectors were missing (WHICH IS A DEATHTRAP WAITING TO HAPPEN), the pool was closed and the hotel never bothers to matain and CLEAN IT, stains were everywhere in the room (INCLUDING ON ONE OF THE BEDS), one of the bathroom's lights is DIM, and housekeeping IS TOO LAZY TO TAKE CARE OF THAT MESS!!!! I don't understand how this hotel is still in operation when it should've been shut down by the city of Aiken's health department.
