Surprise in rural Colorado The hotel was more than I expected for small town Colorado. The staff was very friendly. The property was very clean and organized. I was dropping my son off at school so it was close to where we were traveling, but it is a bit of a hall from the airport. There was food within walking distance, which was a plus.

Maybe eat somewhere else Sorry, readers. This one is going to gross you out. At my recent stay, the room was nice, the facility was clean, all was good. Until the breakfast bar incident. While enjoying breakfast at the tables in the breakfast area, I observed the Hampton clerk assigned to the breakfast bar pull a serving spoon out of the oatmeal toppings, lick it clean, then put it back in the topping container for guests to use. So nasty and unsanitary. Who actually does that? It couldn’t have been the first time. So, if you’re not planning on eating at the Hampton Alamosa, you should be good.

Needs an update Not a bad value for Alamosa (the hotel rates there are on the high side) but the hotel sorely needs a renovation. The furniture is very tired: the chair in our room was stained and unsupportive, the carpeting has seen better days. Their housekeeping is sub-par.

Hair everywhere!!!!! Room was so unclean… Hair absolutely everywhere! The bathroom floor, sink, and shower. And in the bed. And one of the beds had brown marks on the outer cover of the comforter. So we tried to go get a blanket to sleep on the other queen bed and the blanket we got from the front desk had hair in it. They eventually brought us new bedding to make the bed ourselves without hair because they were fully booked. The girl at the front desk was kind and I understand this wasn’t her fault but the room was truly gross. Also the headboard rattled against the wall every time you moved in the bed. Also, the wifi doesn’t work and the shower head points straight at the wall with very little pressure. Overall if one of these happened it would have been okay but because it was all of these things it was a very bad stay.

Not Pleased With How Hotel Is Managed Not at all pleased with the state of my room at check-in. Dusty floor and bed cover. Refrigerator door was left open. Morning breakfast just OK. Cut up melon fruit slices were hard and tasteless. Sleep quality was OK. I only stayed the one night. I don't know what you should expect if you stay longer.
