Close to the Balloon Fiesta & Old Town We chose this hotel due to the close proximity of the Balloon Fiesta. When I made the reservations I asked if you could see the balloons as we were not going into the festival itself. You can see them but I do recommend you go to the festival to really experience it. Now I know. Overall the hotel is very clean, the lobby is great as every night we and our friends would end our day with cocktails (our own provided) with sitting on the couches & chairs. It is close to Old Town as well. Easy access on/off freeway. The hotel was very quiet and it was pretty full. The breakfast was great - omelettes, etc. Lots of parking. The staff very kind and you can opt out of housekeeping should you wish. We had a bedroom and a separate living area with couch & TV. The indoor pool we had to ourselves as well. There is a Denny's within walking distance otherwise you do need to drive to a different restaurant. We stayed 2 nights with no problem. Easy check-in and check-out.

Hotel nice, staff WORTHLESS The hotel was nice and very clean but the staff was HORRIBLE with no concept of "hospitality." When I asked if more breakfast items would be restocked, I was yelled at for not giving them a chance (only 2 other people and it took over 1/2 hr for breakfast to be restocked). Any interactions with front desk clerk, she couldn't move her eyes off the monitor to speak -- ZERO eye contact. There were more terrible interactions. Was OVERPRICED and AWFUL service.

Keep driving not a good value Booked a 1 Brm suite….what they deem a 1 Brm suite is a regular room with a sofa, micro and sm refrig??? Property is expensive, dated, dirty, musty and is desperate need of remodeling and they put us in the room next to the elevator. Paid $50 more than neighboring motels to treat ourselves to a “suite”. Feel ripped off! Don’t let their website pictures deceive you, they had a very good photographer! Sometimes things aren’t like they seem in a picture. The Choice website showed my one night stay checking in on the wrong (next) day and checking out more than a month from now. The total was correct so no harm. Overall not the experience we are used to from The Choice chain.

Horrible hotel: very unethical The hotel is a bit outdated and could use a makeover. Most problematic is that they told us if we reviewed the hotel prior to check-in we would have our early check-in fee waived. Please note, that they wanted us to give a review of our entire experience PRIOR to checking in. I give a review at that point that was moderate as I couldn't guess what the experience was going to be. Once I returned from the visit, Choice sent an automated survey. I answered the review honestly (which was not positive) and they contacted me after that review, to inform me that they were now charging me for early check-in. The hotel, in essence, is charging people for giving a poor review, and rewarding customers for giving good reviews (of a product they have not experienced). VERY SHADY!

Choose Another Hotel The room needs a major overhaul. The configuration was strange. The ceilings were low, carpet brown/orange-ish with a red stain that may have been blood? Cheap furniture and decor (what little decor they had), plastic guards on corners, no closet doors, hairs in the bed. Totally NOT worth the price of a night's stay in this establishment. We will choose a different hotel next time we are on the way through Albuquerque.
