Poor service, even worst smell The pros: comfy bed & nice tv. The cons: I stayed here a few times a few years back and everything was good so I rebooked when traveling for work. But wow, things have really changed for the worst. 1. It doesn’t matter what requests you make regarding rooms and service, you’re getting whatever they give you. 2. The room stinks. It smells old and musty. The rooms I stayed in previously were recently renovated and very fresh. But the room I was in was not renovated. It was very outdated but with some new furniture. The walls, curtains and bed skirt are stained and generally just look very dingy. 3. The air conditioner doesn’t work. It comes on and will blow for a bit, but it’ll also stop often or switch from cool to fan on its own regularly. And when it’s on, it’s loud (like a car engine being revved up) so I hope you don’t plan to work, sleep, or have peace while trying to cool down even though its hot and humid in Alexandria so not having properly functioning air is just a no. 4. They’ve tried to squeeze everything into some tiny rooms by the elevator which should absolutely not be rooms for guests. These rooms are cramped and don’t have the same quality, space or aesthetic of the rooms on the main hallway. There isn’t even enough room in the bathroom for a full sink and counter. It’s a tiny little sink with no counter space. 5. There isn’t hot water, lukewarm in the afternoon and kind of chilly in the morning. There is mold/dark colored gunk on the grout of the shower/sliding door. And they have dove product bottles but it’s definitely not dove products in the bottles. 6. It appears that the place is under new management and the new owners are much less concerned with service, cleanliness, or facilities modernization which really sucks because this place was a solid option for business travelers visiting the area. Idk if it’s cultural or just bad manners but the front desk staff needs to be retrained. If I place my card in your hand, don’t throw it on the counter when you’re done with it while I hold my hand out to grab it. It’s common courtesy.

Dirty puppy pads….no Thank-you! We were checked into room 1014 only to be greeted by a dirty puppy training pad that was soiled and had puppy food food all over the floor. There was also dirty dishes in the sink and dirty towels and footprints all over the floor. When we went to the desk to let him know that the room was not cleaned he was apologetic and proceeded to book us in another room. So, we head back up to the new room 320 which was a double room not the king suite we had booked, so we head back down to be told that was all they had and so we told them to cancel our reservation and refund us our money. Terrible…just terrible…

Don’t stay here We were put here by an agent for the event we were part of and in an attempt to save money they put us in this awful place. The whole hotel smelled like dirt, mold, and marijuana. We were trying to be nice so we went to the room and on the way we were greeted by a hallway lined with trash bags. When we got to the room it smelled like mold and the sheets were dirty. We went and found a better, cleaner place in a safer neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and spend the money for a better place closer to downtown. I would give it a negative score if I could.
