Mixed experience I stayed here for a few nights on a work trip and I had mixed experiences. The hotel is a bit old and run down but overall clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive. The air conditioning in the room was very loud but the room would get really warm with the air turned off so sleeping was a bit of a challenge. The bathroom was spacious and practical, with a very good shower. We used the meeting rooms a lot as well and they were absolutely freezing with the air conditioning on, and there was no way to regulate it.

Clean but early morning service We chose this hotel because it was close-ish to the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre for a concert. The outside is lovely as is the lobby. They have a tea/coffee bar available. The front desk personnel were fantastic — very personable and helpful. They gave us each a bottle of water at check in. Checkin was smooth and easy. We got there around 4 so our room was ready for us to walk on in. The room was worn but clean — no sign of bugs. They have a little Keurig inside along with a refrigerator. The room was cool and comfortable. The desk chair was comfy for doing some work. The toiletries felt luxurious. My one big complaint is that at roughly 8:05 am, there was a knock on the door, and the housekeeper didn’t wait for a response — just opened the door. I don’t think anyone should ever be knocking on my door before 9am at a hotel unless there’s a fire or a gunman on the loose. If they are going to knock, it would be great to wait at least a few moments for a response before opening the door

Great but book other than thru Airbnb Excellent stay but we should’ve booked they Agoda - airbnb had a couple dollar cheaper rate so I went with them. But confirmation took a while for them to receive which was aggravating. The host said that happened everytime… the Otis Spunkmeyer cookies were a nice treat while waiting along with cucumber infused water The only thing that I didn’t appreciate, was the host repeated himself of how to contact Airbnb for the issue, as if I was stupid, when all he had to do was answer one question with a simple no would’ve sufficed. Parking wasn’t convenient at all. I’d stay again.

Hilton Loyalty Means Nothing Upon checking, the agent on duty wasn’t particularly friendly and failed to acknowledge our Diamond status. When I remarked that we were Honors Diamond and asked what the perks were, he replied “you just get water. We have someone make snacks but they didn’t do it.” He then said that the bar was closed and didn’t suggest alternative places to get beverages. This is the second Hilton stay in two weeks where our Diamond status wasn’t acknowledged or rewarded. In Asheville last week, the front staff couldn’t have cared less, hotel was dated, and the breakfast overheated garbage with inattentive wait staff. Don’t get me started on our stay at the Rose Hall in Jamaica a few months ago. The hotel needs to be bulldozed and rebuilt…the gym was tiny with an insufficient number of yoga mats (the ones they had were very dirty and chewed up), and management was unresponsive. Maybe it’s time to defect to Marriott.
